WHAT IS SEATTLE MAKES?

Seattle Makes highlights Seattle’s many unique local and independent small businesses through maker and producer manufacturing facility tours, special maker classes, demos, and events.

Seattle Makes highlights Seattle’s independent manufacturing culture and community, specifically spotlighting makers who are members of Seattle Made.

Seattle Made is a collaboration of nearly seven hundred urban manufacturers and producers—makers of everything from chocolate to cheese, beer to bicycles, and jewelry to jam—coming together to ‘make it’ in Seattle. Learn about about Seattle Made on the about page.

Not only can visitors experience Seattle’s independent culture through innovative and unique tours and event programming. You can also take a piece of Seattle home as many tours or classes offer you the opportunity to purchase gift items you tasted, toured, or tried!

HOW DO I RESERVE A SPOT?

Reservation can not be made through this site and must be booked through each individual business featured.

Each profile will offer information on how to make a reservation. Most reservations can be made through online ticketing platforms, while you may need to call or email to reserve a spot.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS?

Each individual profile will offer details regarding any guidelines that must be followed to attend. For example you must be 21+ to attend a beer, wine, cider, or distillery tour.

HOW CAN I LIST MY CLASS OR TOUR?

If you are a Seattle Made member and would like to list your tour or class please sign up here.

Our preference is to only list ongoing classes or tours as one time events are frequently not updated. One time events are challenging in maintaining an up to date website that the public can reliably search and learn about exciting opportunities. If you have a series of one-time events you may create a broad overview listing of your events and link out to your events page. See The Works as an example highlighting their series of classes.

If you have questions about specific tour, classes, or demos please reach out to the individual business regarding your inquiry. Both phone numbers and websites are listed on each individual profile page.

If you have questions about how you can be featured on this website, Seattle Made, or the functionality of this website reach out to seattlemakes@seattlegood.org.
